SMART Card Photo Taking

SMART Card is for transportation, and it can be used as a school library card.

It will be on 17 Feb 12. Students must be in school uniform on that day. Since it is a Friday, students can bring their PE shirt and shorts to school. Please make sure that your child’s name tag is sewn on the school uniform.

Be Responsible

One of our RICE Values is Responsibility
Children need to learn to be responsible. They are to be responsible for their things and work.
Be Dependable
Parents are role models for children to learn to take responsibility for their own actions.

Teach Kids Self-Care
Let children take responsibility for themselves in small ways, and then graduate to bigger ones. Remember to compliment them on how responsible they are. They’ll start to see themselves as capable and competent.

Give Kids a Role in the Family
Get them involved and let them know that their contribution helps the family.  Whatever they do, praise them for being responsible and let them know what they do is valued.

Help Them Get Organised
… Teach basic organisation skills. …to check their “to do” list…

Be Patient
Children need practice so they can build responsible habits, … and develop a sense of ownership …

Enlarge Their Scope
...take responsibility for others ... make a commitment to volunteer for something,...stress our pride in seeing them follow through.

Cope with Irresponsible Behaviour
… brings natural consequences—doing a poor job on homework. Focus on how they can do better next time.

Prepare Them for Independence
… to prepare children to cope with life outside the home…
